Tell us a little bit about your business?

My vision for Beauti Inside Out is to be a brand that focuses on shifting the paradigms with beauty to view ourselves as beautiful from inside- our character, health, wellbeing, how we show up to others and care for ourselves. Rather than viewing beauty just as visual traits we see. Beauti with an i is intentional for the i to be a reminder for the word inside. Always focus inward when seeing Beauti, it reflects outward. There are so many special aspects of a wedding day, and I continue to see women experience confidence, empowerment, femininity, and so much grace on this day. It’s Beautiful.

How many years have you been in business?

My vision for Beauti Inside Out came in 2012 after working in both the cosmetics and wellness industry. The branch of wedding styling took off in 2013.

How did you get started?

Wedding Styling really became a business for me after doing make up artistry in a friend’s wedding I was in. I give so much credit to the photographer, who captured the artistry so well. The portfolio work really showcased my aesthetic and that wedding became a snowball of inquires and referrals.

How would you describe your style?

I hope when others view my work they see timeless, romantic, classic styles.

What do you love most about what you do?

I love the intimacy of the occasion and the connection with my clients. I work closely with clients, like literally close. To work so close for several hours, there’s just a guard that drops down and we both get to be our true selves. I get to know my clients and their loved ones so well by spending that quality time together leading up to “I do”. I feel a special bond with them being a small part of their special day and that is what I love most. Hair & Make Up is just the gift I get to use to do what I love most, create authentic connection.

Are there any current trends that you love?

I’m currently loving the complexion highlight trend. I love the “bridal glow” and using cosmetics to create youthful radiant skin complexions.

What should people know before booking you?

I recently relocated to Nashville as my home base, but I’m eager to travel to any location for styling, so please don’t hesitate to reach out. That quote “the mountains are calling, I must go” – I like to live up to that.

Why should people invest in a hair and makeup artist?

The feedback I hear so often is how much of a relief it is to just sit back and spend the time before to relax and be pampered with their guests. In addition, professional hair and make up artistry is going to ensure appropriate steps are taken to increase longevity of the styling. Investing in hair and make up styling is a great compliment to the investment in professional photography. As a wedding stylist, I aim to create a flawless style to create the vision the client has for their captures.

What tips or advice can you give to couples who are in the midst of planning their wedding day?

Often during styling, time is interfered by the client being interrupted with questions or hang ups. I notice the most relaxed brides have a coordinator who handles these concerns and this allows her to be present in the moment with her loved ones. I’d also suggest for the bride to inquire to both her photographer and stylist about their aesthetic and why the bride chose them/what she desires, then share that with the vendors. The more the stylist knows about the photographers editing style, the look can be adjusted to fit the vision. Also, with the photographer knowing the desired tones and look from the bride, it can ensure images are created to capture that as well.

What are your favorite hobbies or non-work related activities?

I absolutely love being outdoors. Usually campfires, gardening, kayaking or hiking to waterfalls.

What are some of your goals and dreams for 2019?

I’d love to see my team grow with talented stylists to continue to accommodate larger parties. A dream of mine for 2019 is to become a certified health coach and really bring to life my original vision of Beauti Inside Out.
