We met in 2009 and have been married for 8 YEARS!! Chad is also a full time police officer since 2001. Working in law enforcement in a small town meant having major holidays off was rare. He was either working or on call at some point every holiday.. Our little town is known for having a great 4th of July celebration and one of the best fireworks shows in the region. There are events throughout the day, including a parade, ending with a fireworks show that draws quite a crowd. This meant long hours for him every July 4th (usually at least 14 hours by the time the department directed traffic after the show to help everyone get home safely), often in sweltering heat. While we sometimes were able to spend a few minutes watching the fireworks together usually Chad would get a call and have to work. We had often wished that we could spend this holiday together without him being on duty and even talked about how nice that would be after I retired. On Fourth of July 2011 Chad talked to his boss about having the day off so that we could spend the evening watching fireworks together. However, he still worked the parade so that there was so suspicion of what was coming. That night, a little while before the fireworks were to begin, he made me solve a word scramble that spelled out will you marry me and told me that he had the night off!  We were able to watch the fireworks together as an engaged couple! 

The day of our wedding day(June 2, 2012-best day ever) we hung out with our favorite people, danced the night away and ran through sparklers towards our getaway car!

This business started with me (Amanda) in 2011. Even though I have always loved taking photos I never envisioned myself as a photographer, but I truly believe that my creative journey started with my grandmother, who was also an entrepeneur (hairstylist). My grandmother was always the one who was taking photos everywhere we would go and who would take me to Homemakers (a craft class) with her when I was a little girl. I believe my 
love for creating began with her! Even so, I pursued the medical field in college because I loved helping people. However, I found myself overwhelmed and I was a burnt out after graduating college. Chad bought me a camera and I fell in love with photography after someone asked me to take photos for them! At that point, I realized that the medical field wasn’t the direction I needed to go in order to be happy. It was a scary decision, especially after going to college and graduating! But, with a very supportive husband and God's guidance, I decided to pursue photography and become the lady with the camera taking photos everywhere we would go, like my grandmother! I am so thankful for this life-giving job! And if this job wasn’t awesome enough, I get to do this full time with my husband! Chad joined me in the autumn of 2011! God has truly blessed us to have the privilege of traveling and capturing other's memories together!!
