We have been in business for 7 years and I honestly don’t know how we managed without our wedding photographer’s prep checklist! When the new year came, I made it a goal to get organized and grow as a business! I was so tired of always being overwhelmed and a disorganized hot mess! One thing that was an issue was always forgetting something the day of a shoot or wedding! Nothing major, but if we forgot to sync our clocks on our cameras that always caused a big frustration for me when it came to editing! So, I decided to change our entire workflow! That wasn’t easy! It was one of the toughest things to do and we’re still working on it! The great part is, we have made huge strides since the beginning of the year! Our new workflow has done wonders not just for us, but for providing a better client experience! That makes us SUPER happy!!

It’s so important to establish a workflow before you establish anything else! Before you even shoot your first session or wedding, we would say just stop and make sure that you have it all together! One simple thing has helped us tremendously…… a checklist! Yep! For 7 years, we didn’t do this and what happened? A. HOT. MESS. As soon as we started doing this, we breathed a lot easier! Usually the day before a session or wedding we would be so stressed out trying to remember if we had everything ready! So many times we would end up forgetting something!
