Hello everyone! 🙂 I decided to wait until the new year to start my blog. Last night as the ball dropped in Time Square I was sitting on the couch with my fiance Chad and thinking about 2012. For the first time I was scared about starting a new year. This one is going to pose new challenges that I have never had to face but here I am ready to start this jouney..and I am willing to do whatever it takes to follow my dreams.  I wanted to start this blog to share my success, my failure, my mistakes, and my photography. It’s not always going to be pretty but I am a firm believer that we learn from our mistakes and hopefully one day I can look back on this and smile or laugh at the things that happened.
If someone were to ask me if I have always wanted to be a photographer I would have to say no. In fact, I graduated from college recently in hopes of becoming a doctor. However, life has led me here. I received my camera back in February 2011 and the first time I picked it up and began to try to figure it out was definitely an experience in itself. I put the lens on it(after trying for a few minutes), turned the camera on and thought ‘oh this is pretty neat’, turned the camera off, and realized I didn’t know how to get the lens back off. That’s when my heart started to race! ‘Oh NO! How do you get it off? I am going to ruin my new camera by trying to get the lens off.’ Finally after 20 minutes of panic I found the little button to release it. YEP! my very first mistake—- there will probably be many more to follow…with successes mixed in SO stay tuned haha
Happy New Year!
