Happy Friday everyone!! 🙂 Today, we are featuring a beautiful venue, The Old Mill Farm in Bedford, VA! We had the honor of capturing Madelene & Logan’s gorgeous wedding there last summer!! We loved learning more about this incredible venue and we hope you enjoy as well!
Tell us a little bit about your business!
Our farm has been in the family for several generations. It was at one time a dairy farm. Later we grew tobacco and today it is a cattle farm and a wedding venue. We like to create a one of a kind setting for our couples with a laid back environment where guests feel like they are visiting family and not just another venue.
How did you get started?
Funny story….We had no intentions of going into the wedding venue business. One of our adult children would bring a friend of theirs to Sunday dinners after church service. This friend was a local school teacher and she would jokingly tell us if she ever got married it would be on our farm. She was single at the time and we never gave it a second thought. Then, she got engaged! And the rest, as they would say, is history! Our one little sweet ceremony led to others asking and before you knew it we were having visions of what we could do to turn our farm into a beautiful venue.
