It’s been a crazy couple of months. My health hasn’t been all that great but I’ve been hanging on! 🙂
Our computer crashed TWICE! So we figured it was time to get a new one. We got a new apple macbook pro and I absolutely love it! It makes things so much easier for me when I edit! I have been busy designing my new website too! So it all started one day with a big pile of magazines and an inspiration board because I honestly had no idea where to start! I want to give a shout out to Scribble Different for the awesome style group!! Helped me out so much! www.scribbledifferent.com

We also decided we were ready to upgrade our equipment. Â I had a Nikon but we rented a camera from Nikon and Canon just to see if we wanted to stay with Nikon or switch. Well..we switched from Nikon to Canon because we ended up liking it better. Seriously, if you are thinking of upgrading and you don’t mind a possible switch I would suggest to rent both. It’s not necessarily that Nikon is better than Canon or Canon is better than Nikon. It really depends on the preference of the photographer. What look are you going for? Which one are you more comfortable with? Anyway, our new Canon cameras and lenses are my babies! I love them!
We have our first formal wedding next month with an amazing bride & groom!. September 15th! 🙂 We are very anxious and excited and hope we can capture memories the way they need to be captured! We are hoping to shoot more weddings in the near future!
In the meantime, I have been trying to take it easy due to my health issues here recently and we have been trying to go out and practice with the new equipment. Here are some shots we got at Guest River Gorge in Coeburn, VA. We actually have an engagement session scheduled to be here in September. We can’t wait because they are a sweet couple and there are so many wonderful photo opportunities here!
Here are some photos we took there:
Chad practicing with his new camera!
Kind of scary but still a cool shot nonetheless. We were really far away so no worries!
I absolutely LOVE the golden hour!! This is the most perfect time to take photos! This is what I always suggest to my clients! You want to try to have your photos taken two hours before sunset! It’s amazing!!
Me taking photos during the golden hour! 🙂
I was taking these photos!
This was a really quick shot but I still love the SUNFLARE!! Sunflare…one of my favorite things!
It was a beautiful day and we had a blast practicing!
That’s it for now!! 🙂 Hope everyone is doing good!!
